I am a CBT therapist and have recently joined the GEAAP team after having volunteered previously in 2017. I enjoyed the work and the people I engaged with so much that I seized the opportunity to return full time.

CBT is a therapy that aims to improve the way you manage everyday life by focusing on challenging and changing unhelpful cognitions which then positively impacts the way you feel and behave. It helps to develop coping strategies to better solve current problems.

Previous experience includes working with the Scottish Association for Mental Health (SAMH) supporting service users practically and emotionally with severe and enduring mental health problems.

I have past experience both volunteering with MacMillan Cancer Support as an Information and Support worker to emotionally support people in Glasgow affected by cancer and also worked with children with specific educational needs to support them attain their education goals. My passion is helping people to reach their personal goals and lead a fulfilling life.
